Jackson Academy
Project Snapshot
We designed and built a 12‑element low ropes course at Jackson Academy’s Ashleigh Park. The course supports student development in leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving—and serves as a hands-on training ground for volunteer facilitators.
What We Delivered
- Installed a fully functional low ropes course, including spider-web elements, log bridges, and balance challenges that encourage cooperation.
- Delivered JA staff and volunteer training to equip them in leading sessions safely and maximizing learning outcomes.
Learning & Team Building
- Students practice team cooperation, communication, trust, and strategic planning.
- Exercises like the Spider’s Web require groups to plan and work through openings without touching the ropes—promoting servant leadership, synergy, and collective confidence.
Why This Project Stands Out
- Designed for lasting impact—the course is already a central part of JA’s SOAR Outdoor program, reinforcing values like trust and collaboration.
- Skill-building through service—students not only participate, but also lead. Volunteer training gives them ownership and leadership practice.
- Character-focused design—the course mirrors JA’s commitment to "confidence, character, and competence" through experiential learning.
