Project Snapshot

We designed and built the 3rd Falls Zip, a scenic zip line offering a thrilling, nature-filled ride. The installation spans two sections with a combined length of 1,400 feet, providing riders with an unforgettable aerial view of Third Falls and the Jocassee River Gorge.

Key Features & Adventure Elements

  • 1,400 feet of zip line thoughtfully routed to give riders an elevated viewpoint of the waterfall and gorge.
  • Observation deck: For those not zipping, a two-story deck overlooks Third Falls and both zipline sections, keeping spectators engaged while watching safely.
  • Appeals to campers looking for high-adrenaline outdoor recreation, blending excitement with scenic beauty.

Why This Project Stands Out

  • Immersive waterfall experience: The zip line gives riders a rare bird’s-eye view of Third Falls and the gorge below.
  • Flexible engagement: Both high-adventure zipping and watching from the observation deck draw visitors into the experience.
  • Enhances camp offerings: Strengthens The Wilds’ portfolio of action-filled experiences, like the Giant Swing, Land Trolley, archery, and water features, all grounded in outdoor recreation and faith-based fun
  • Memorable guest experience: Combines thrilling zipline technology with natural beauty and spiritual retreat—perfect for youth campers, teens, and families.
