Colorado Mountain College Highlights Its Spring Valley Ropes Course

Colorado Mountain College’s Spring Valley campus in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, is home to the David Allen High Ropes Course, a team-building and outdoor learning space designed to help groups build trust, communication, connection, and confidence.
Challenge Design Innovations is proud to be listed by Colorado Mountain College as the course designer for this project.
The Spring Valley ropes course includes the challenge course and a 38-foot climbing wall, with both low and high elements. CMC describes the site as one of the largest challenge course operators in the High Rockies.
What stands out about this project is its focus on access and inclusion. CMC shares that its programs are designed to support participants across a wide range of physical and emotional abilities. The course also includes adaptive opportunities, an ADA pathway, a zipline, and flying squirrel elements.
That kind of intentional design matters.
A strong challenge course is not just about height or obstacles. It is about creating a space where people can choose their own level of challenge, support one another, and take something meaningful back to their team, class, workplace, or community.
We’re proud to have played a role in a project that continues to support outdoor learning, group development, and adventure in the Colorado mountains.
