Salamander Resort Takes Ziplining in the Dark!

Salamander Resort Takes Ziplining in the Dark!

What’s better than ziplining through the beautiful Virginia countryside? How about doing it under a full moon?

One of our projects is getting some well-deserved attention! Northern Virginia Magazine recently featured the nighttime ziplining adventures at Salamander Middleburg, a luxury resort where Challenge Design Innovations (CDI) designed and built the zip line course.

The September 21, 2026, article highlights Salamander's Soar Under the Stars: Full Moon Zip Tour, where guests experience the treetops in a whole new way. With moonlight overhead, glow sticks adding a little extra fun, and experienced guides leading the way, it's a pretty unique way to enjoy an already incredible course.

A Zip Line Adventure Worth Talking About

The course CDI built at Salamander features five zip lines ranging from 275 to 675 feet, two suspension bridges, and a route stretching more than half a mile across 20 acres of Virginia countryside.

During the day, guests enjoy beautiful scenery and an exciting adventure through the trees. But after dark? The same course becomes an entirely different experience.

We love seeing our clients find creative ways to get even more out of the courses we build. Salamander's full moon tours are a great example of how an adventure attraction can offer something fresh and memorable without building an entirely new course.

Congratulations to the Salamander Adventures team on the media coverage and for continuing to find new ways to make their course special!
