First Flight Adventure Park Featured as a Fun Outer Banks Activity for Teens and Families
A travel guide from Outer Banks Vacations recently featured First Flight Adventure Park as one of the fun things to do with teens in the Outer Banks.
And we were excited to see one of our projects included.
The article highlights First Flight Adventure Park as a thrilling obstacle course that teens, families, and groups can enjoy together. Located in Nags Head, North Carolina, the park gives guests a chance to climb, balance, zip, compete with friends, and burn off energy in a setting that feels right at home on the coast.
Challenge Design Innovations was proud to design this one-of-a-kind hurricane-themed course.
First Flight Adventure Park includes 42 obstacles and 6 zip lines, with elements built from materials like cables, ropes, wood, buoys, barrels, and more. The course is designed for guests ages 6 and up, making it a strong fit for families looking for an active outdoor experience during an Outer Banks trip.
What makes this project stand out is the theme.
The course does not feel generic. It uses coastal materials, storm-inspired details, and a layout that fits the energy of the Outer Banks. Guests are not just moving through obstacles. They are stepping into an adventure that feels connected to the place.
That is the kind of design we love.
A great aerial adventure park should be fun, challenging, and memorable. But it should also feel intentional. The theme, site, materials, and guest experience all matter.
We’re proud to have helped bring First Flight Adventure Park to life and glad to see it recognized as a must-visit activity for teens and families visiting the Outer Banks.
